Benefits of working with a Nutritionist

Are you frustrated that nothing seems to work despite your best efforts? Have you tried cutting out certain foods? Followed online tips for a healthy gut or tried a promising new diet, only to end up right back where you started? Or are you already eating “all the right things” but still feel low on energy, bloated, or just not like yourself?

Did your GP mention during your last visit that healthy changes to your diet and increasing your activity level may support your recovery, alleviate your symptoms, or help you feel better overall? Did the information and leaflets overwhelm you and leave you not really knowing where to start?

This is where working with a qualified nutritionist can make a real difference.

After taking a closer look at your habits, health history and how you’re getting on with your life, not only physically but also emotionally, we will develop a plan together that is realistic, evidence-based and tailored to your specific needs, goals and lifestyle. No quick fixes, but sustainable changes that make you feel better, one step at a time.

The role of a nutritionist is not to judge your food choices or to control your calories in detail. Information about which foods to eat and which to avoid, general suggestions about the number of calories we should consume, impersonalized tracking apps, celebrities who swear by a particular diet, or influencers who praise a specific supplement can be overwhelming and often misleading.

Many of these approaches may seem promising at first, but they often fail in the long term, especially when life is often hectic and unpredictable.

Nutrition coaching goes beyond nutrition alone. Together, we will explore all aspects that influence your well-being: stress, sleep, exercise, commitments, hobbies and your health history.

We base our plans on changes that are relevant and sustainable, and for that reason, accomplishable despite the normal demands of daily life. Gradually, you will build habits that support your health, not just for the moment but for the long term.

What does this look like in practice?

Changing your diet and lifestyle can be challenging. We’ll accompany you on this journey with evidence-based knowledge, the necessary encouragement and our passion for helping others to improve their health.

The first step will be an initial consultation. During this session, we will explore your current eating habits, lifestyle, hobbies, commitments, health history and personal goals. This will give us the information we need to create a comprehensive picture, not just of your diet, but also of your everyday life and the challenges you face.

During this session, we will also set a couple of realistic and meaningful goals and decide on the next steps. Depending on your current situation and goals, we’ll establish what ongoing support would work best for you. That could include regular follow-up appointments, a detailed plan that you can follow independently, short check-ins to help you stay on track, or a combination of these. Ultimately, we’ll ensure that you feel well cared for in every way.
