Chartered Physiotherapist
Kate is an experienced Physiotherapist specialising in Women’s Health and Menopause.
Kate brings a wealth of experience of both musculoskeletal and Pelvic Heath Physiotherapy, gained over many years working in public and private healthcare in both the UK and Hong Kong. While living in Hong Kong, Kate gained her qualification in Pilates with Polestar, the internationally recognised gold standard for clinical Pilates. She finds this an excellent form of rehabilitation for both her musculoskeletal, obstetric and gynaecology patients. With a specialised interest in Women’s Health, Kate is passionate about educating women at each stage in their lives, from motherhood through to the menopause.
Combined with her background in spinal rehabilitation, Kate finds that treating the pelvic floor muscles can often improve the outcome in her spinal patients due to the crucial role it plays in the stability of the spine and pelvis. Kate uses a holistic approach to both her assessment and treatment to ensure a thorough understanding of both the symptoms and the underlying cause to the problem, whether that’s a sprained ankle or a pelvic organ prolapse. Kate uses a variety of physiotherapy treatment techniques to reduce pain and restore joint mobility – such as spinal and manual therapy to visceral mobilization – as well as teaching Clinical Pilates to enable her patients to feel confident, stronger and more controlled in their movement.
There are no words to express my appreciation ...
“I got diagnosed with herniated disk and since then I have visited many physiotherapists. I am so glad that I booked sessions at Physiofit. They have been very kind, friendly, informative and helpful. They told me that my pains are actually related to my piriformis muscle and we worked on it by strengthening with exercises but also with massages. I don’t experience any pain anymore and I went back to my normal sports life”
